Is the app free for the people who use it?
Yes. People can use a Pattern ministry app without paying Pattern. Creator and ministry fees are what keep the platform running.
Can a small group or small ministry afford Pattern?
Pricing is designed to make sense for a small local effort as well as a large organization, and every plan starts with a free 30-day trial. If the fees are still out of reach, we offer financial assistance to groups working with missions organizations and among unreached people groups. Please do not let pricing affect your decision to get started.
Is there a limit to the number of end users?
Monthly pricing includes up to 10,000 app users. The people who use your app never pay, and reaching more of them is the goal, so if you are growing past that, talk to us and we will work it out with you.
Can we create in multiple languages?
Yes. The Designer includes built-in translation, and you can review and edit every translation so the final wording is your own.
Are AI, translation, or audio services included?
Yes. Every plan comes with a credit system for AI image generation, translation, and text-to-speech audio, allowing up to 500 images, 10,000 words of text translation, and 10,000 text-to-speech recordings. You can review and edit everything the AI produces.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new app starts with a free 30-day trial. Build your app in the Launch Center, try the Designer, and see what your people think before you pay anything.
Can we include Scripture passages or a Bible reader? Does it cost extra?
Yes, you can. We connect to many public domain Bibles and audio Bibles through partners like Biblica and Faith Comes By Hearing, and these licenses do have limitations. For languages without a public domain Scripture, we work with you and the Bible publishers to see whether an agreement can be made. If a publisher requires a fee, that is separate from any of the setup costs.
Why do you charge for missions-focused apps?
We are all about the Great Commission of Jesus. We believe in self-sustaining gospel efforts that are not dependent on someone else raising all the funds for them. At the same time, we can only offer what we do because donors made building the platform possible. Charging these amounts keeps the platform sustainable and healthy, while we still offer scholarships and financial assistance. There are no owners behind Pattern making large profits.
What about financial assistance?
We never say no to ministries who demonstrate a true need and a true strategy to use the app for discipleship. We offer financial assistance to groups working with missions organizations and among unreached people groups, and we ask for some documentation and information so that we can be confident in both.
